Meet the Team Leaders

“It all began with an idea……

To bring joy and happiness to the daily lives of our pet dogs!”

Caroline Walmsley, the founder of Walmsley Canine Services, has connected with dogs her whole life. Her aim is to portray how wonderful they are and to bring them as much enrichment, fun and care as they give to us humans through her knowledge and services. Find out more about the Team Leaders of Waggy Canine Services below and how we can help you and your pet today.

Founder Caroline Walmsley

Hello! I am Caroline and these two gorgeous yellow beasts of mine are Trojan the Yellow Labrador Retriever and Apollo the Golden Retriever. I also live at home with my husband and my toddler son. The only female in the house of 5!

I have been working with dogs now for 10 years. I am qualified in Animal Care, Animal Assisted Therapy, and Puppy Training, as well as being a certified Fun Dog Agility Coach. I founded Waggy Canine Services in 2012 providing walking and care for dogs, cats, and small furries, as well as dog sports and training courses to enrich the lives of the everyday pet.

I owe a lot to the dogs i have owned over the years. My previous dog Chester taught me how to train, and how to provide high-level care to canines.  Trojan introduced me to the world of dog sports, and Apollo who is my Registered Education Dog helped pave my way to Animal Assisted Therapy and how dogs can help children in so many wonderful ways including through school visits teaching young children about Dog Safety, Dog Welfare and Pet Responsibility, as well as hosting online courses for families balancing life with children and dogs.

Training Team Leader Kathryn Jobling

Hello, my name is Kathryn and I am the Dog Training Leader at Waggy Canine Services.

I have worked with dogs since the age of 18 and currently have two Romanian rescue dogs called Nala and Quinn, and a little cat called Maisie who definitely thinks she is one of the dogs. After completing my Animal Management diploma, I spent many hours volunteering for a local dog rescue where I developed a huge love for rescue dogs and learned so much about helping fearful dogs to feel more comfortable. My dog, Quinn, is also a reactive dog, it is because of her that I always aim to be an advocate for reactive dogs in my work.

I first met Caroline and became involved with Waggy Canine Services 4 years ago and have since become a qualified Fun Dog Agility Instructor, a Level 1 Accredited Canine Hoopers UK Instructor, and have received education in dog training from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. I have experience in many areas of the dog world but have found I am happiest helping people to build great relationships with their dogs. I am always learning new things and have the perfect companions to practice any new skills with as I continue my education to create a dog training environment that is fun and welcoming for everyone.

Pet Services Leader Roz Simpson

Hi I'm Roz, and I'm the Pet Services Leader at Waggy Canine Services. My life at the moment is shared with my dog Welly who is a gorgeous Griffon Nivernais, and Bo my handsome Irish sports horse. I cannot remember a time in my life that I haven't shared with one animal friend or another! From owning rats, rabbits to horses, and of course dogs, my animal passion has never left.

My love of dogs in particular, began with my first small, shaggy dog called Bran. My love for Bran developed through to ownership of Jack Russells, Collies and German Shepherds, and one day in the future I'm hoping to own an Otterhound and Wolfhound! Let's face it, if you love dogs the bigger the better!

It was inevitable my working life would be spent the same way as my personal, with my animal career starting in dog grooming. I obtained a Distinction in my Dog Grooming City and Guilds, and successfully ran my own grooming business for many years. I then joined the University of Lincoln, lecturing in Dog Grooming and Small Animal Management at the Riseholme Campus, where I could share my passion and expertise for all animals with the next generations.

I joined WCS 10 years ago and I still love every minute, from walks in all weathers, to all the many friends, human and hairy, I have met along the way. I look forward to meeting many more of your wonderful animals, and I always strive to keep you and your animals as happy as possible.
